Alumni Successes
Recent data indicates that of the Morning Star School Junior High students graduating from 2003-2005, approximately 95% have successfully completed their high school education. The Morning Star School Junior High department has graduated 33 classes from 1978-2010 with a total of 301 graduates.
Morning Star School provides a very special educational experience. As one former student noted, “Morning Star and the people… are forever embedded in my heart and soul. When I look back, I always SMILE!!” A former teacher summarized the Morning Star School experience well when she said, “It was much more than a job. Morning Star was a community where the needs of children are first and foremost.”
The successes and the contributions of alumni are an inspiration that demonstrates to “today’s students” that they, too, can become successful, contributing adults. The students and alumni are the true “Stars” of the Morning Star School education program. A key goal of Morning Star School is for the students to develop and enhance the skills they need to become productive members of their community. Graduates of Morning Star School have demonstrated a wide range of talents and now contribute to their community in a variety of careers including:
