Ways to Support Morning Star School

There are many ways to help Morning Star School meet the needs of children with learning disabilities:

Financial support is always appreciated as it enables Morning Star to maintain a high quality education program while providing financial assistance to families of students with financial challenges. Financial support for immediate educational needs comes from individuals and organizations in a variety of manners including:

  • Providing one-time or ongoing tax-deductible contributions to: Morning Star School, 210 East Linebaugh Avenue, Tampa, FL. 33612
  • Sponsoring and/or attending a Morning Star School fundraising event such as the:
    • 2011 Golf Classic at the Tournament Players Club of Tampa Bay (TPC) scheduled for Thursday, October 27, 2011
    • 2012 Annual Gala - this event is scheduled to take place early in 2012.  Please watch this space for more information.
    • 2012 Doubles Tennis Tournament is tentatively scheduled for April 27-29, 2012.  More details will follow as the tournament date approaches.  
  • Providing donations for a specific purpose such as “Tuition Assistance” scholarships or to fulfill a specified need listed on the school “Wish List”
  • Making a donation to honor a person or in memory of a loved one
  • Donating money through the “Friends of Morning Star School” program
  • Making donations through the “Morning Star School Sundays” program 

Financial support to meet more mid-term and long-term goals often comes from donations made to the Morning Star Tampa Foundation Inc. This foundation is in place to help secure donations that are used to meet more significant financial obligations such as major improvements and maintenance of school facilities and to help meet immediate needs that may arise unexpectedly.

Other ways to support Morning Star School include providing in-kind donations that meet specific needs on the school’s “wish list” or in-kind contributions of awards, gifts, and “bag stuffers” for our Tennis and Golf fundraisers. Periodically, Morning Star School seeks volunteers to help provide plants, mulch and other supplies along with their labor for projects designed to improve school grounds and facilities.
